The College Wellbeing Coach Story
I founded The College Wellbeing Coach to support high-achieving female students who are excelling on paper—but quietly struggling behind the scenes. These students are driven, capable, and determined to succeed, yet often overwhelmed by pressure, perfectionism, and the constant push to do more. In chasing academic excellence, they’re sacrificing the very things that support true, lasting success: their wellbeing, joy, and balance.
Before launching this coaching practice, I was hired by a top university to coach students as part of a grant-funded wellness initiative. Students I worked with reported lower stress levels, improved emotional resilience, and greater confidence in handling both academic and personal challenges.
But when the grant ended, the support ended too. I realized these students needed more consistent support, personalized attention, and someone to walk with them through the challenges. So, I created The College Wellbeing Coach to fill that gap, offering one-on-one coaching designed specifically for ambitious college women who want to thrive, not just survive.
Through personalized coaching, I help students build the habits, mindset, and strategies that lead to happy, healthy success. Together, we’ll design a college experience that supports your success and empowers you to thrive—now and for future.
How Is Coaching Different Than Counseling Or Therapy?
| Coaching | Counseling / Therapy |
| Current and future focused | Reflects on the past |
| Skills based | Therapeutic |
| Problem and solution focused | Root-cause focused |
| Focus on actionable steps | Focus on feelings and events |
| Prioritizes healthy lifestyle practices | Can focus on or treat mental health conditions |

“Having someone professional to help you figure out how to make the changes you want to make is such a key piece that is too often missing.
Kerrie is very professional and caring. As a family doctor, I had done trainings on how to do motivational interviewing with my patients, but I’d never had coaching myself, and it was a great experience – really helpful in focusing me on what’s really important to me right now and figuring out concrete steps to take to prioritize those things in my life right now. She held me accountable to myself, probably the person I’m least likely to feel accountable to otherwise, and that made all the difference.”
