Welcome, Parents

As a stress & wellbeing coach working with ambitious female college students, and as the wife of a university professor, I understand the stresses and challenges that today’s college students are facing. But success in academics should not mean sacrificing your own health and wellbeing.

It’s my mission to help your daughter create inner calm, build resilience, and grow her mental fitness, so that she can accomplish all of her life ambitions. I truly believe that developing positive habits (physical, mental, and emotional) now during these formative college years will help set your daughter up for a life of happy, healthy success.

What Is Mental Fitness?

Mental fitness is is the ability to respond calmly and intentionally to life’s challenges. It’s having a strong, resilient mindset, that finds the positive or opportunity in a challenging situation. Mental fitness is your mind working for you, rather than against you, resulting in less stress and increased effectiveness.

What Is Coaching?

Simply put, coaching is a way to help bring out the best version of you. It helps you close the gap between where you are right now and where you want to be in a given area (or areas) of your life.

Coaching can help you to re-think and re-frame, explore possibilities, work through challenges, build healthy habits, and take action toward your goals. Coaching is not therapy, and does not diagnose or treat any medical or mental health conditions. Rather, coaching is a forward-looking and solution-driven way to enact sustainable behavior change. It facilitates client awareness, thinking, and effectiveness.

Often we struggle to make changes on our own. A professional coach can help make the difference in creating the life you want.

“Having someone professional to help you figure out how to make the changes you want to make is such a key piece that is too often missing.

Kerrie is very professional and caring. As a family doctor, I had done trainings on how to do motivational interviewing with my patients, but I’d never had coaching myself, and it was a great experience – really helpful in focusing me on what’s really important to me right now and figuring out concrete steps to take to prioritize those things in my life right now. She held me accountable to myself, probably the person I’m least likely to feel accountable to otherwise, and that made all the difference.”

- Sophomore

"It's been easier to disconnect. I realized that things aren't as hard as I think once I get started, and this can apply to other areas of my life, like schoolwork.”

- Graduate Student

"I'm feeling much happier and relaxed since beginning coaching. This is the most sleep I've gotten since my first semester at college. I feel so much better - both my mood and physically. I realized I went to all my classes this week, was better able to focus in class, and didn't feel tired. I feel good in my body. I feel so much better that I don't even feel like myself - I was so used to always being tired."

- Junior

"Coaching gave me a non-judgmental space to process where I could hear my own thoughts. It was settling...calming. There was stress relief from having a plan. I feel 'on a roll' and I'm more confident as I move ahead.”

- Senior

"Reframing has helped me immensely in letting worry go. I've actually found that even my relationships have improved. And I've been able to apply this perspective across areas of my life.

Increased positivity has allowed me the ability to perform my job interviews with calm, and not worry about them after. I'm optimistic about the next chapter of my life!”
