Taking a comprehensive approach to wellbeing, we’ll look at the many interconnected aspects of your life that may be contributing to stress. This includes exploring the feedback loop between the mind, body, and brain—and how it can keep you stuck in stress.
Common factors affecting students’ stress levels include:
- Feeling overwhelmed by classwork or exams
- Perfectionism around grades or performance
- Pressure from expectations (of self or from others)
- Time management struggles or being unsure how to prioritize
- Guilt when not studying or “being productive”
- Inadequate self-care
- Interpersonal conflicts (with friends, roommates, research advisors, etc.)
- Ruminating on past events
- Worry or uncertainty about the future
Stress, anxiousness, and unhelpful thought patterns can significantly affect your focus, motivation, and overall effectiveness. My goal is to help you develop the mental and physical habits that shift you out of stressed-out “survival mode” and into a state of calm and confidence so that you can experience success that’s not just achievable, but sustainable.
